Can I post my preprint, accepted manuscript, or final article elsewhere?
Updated 26 May 2026 · for-authors · open-access · preprints · self-archiving
Yes — all versions, anywhere, with no embargo.
Authors are permitted to deposit any version of their work — preprints, accepted manuscripts, and the published version of record — in an institutional or other repository of their choice. There is no embargo period.
Where you can post
- Institutional repositories
- Preprint servers (we recommend OSF: https://osf.io)
- Subject repositories (PsyArXiv, SSRN, etc.)
- Your personal or lab website
- ResearchGate / Academia.edu (subject to those platforms' own rules)
Licence
All published articles are released under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC-BY 4.0) licence. You keep copyright; others (including you) can share and adapt the work, provided the original is properly credited.
